Requirement:
Develop a lightweight, maneuverable transporter to permit rapid C5 deployment of the United States Navy SEAL Team’s High Speed Special Operations Craft (SOC).
Solution:
Fabricated system using a concurrent design and build approach to ensure customer schedule requirements were met. (Concurrent design and build was completed with a teaming effort between Lockheed Martin and Martinez & Turek).
Transporter utilizes the stiffness of the payload to reduce weight.
Incorporate steerable rear axles to reduce system turning radius.
Utilized the Autocad design system to update and evaluate design, weights and clearances.
The United States Special Operations Command has twenty operational MK V SOC Transportation Systems.
